FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Funds are budgeted for this position
DESCRIPTION As you know, the City has been involved in the process
of recruiting a replacement for Gaylynn Firth, Recreation Director, who
resigned in October of last year.
The City received numerous applications for the position. After screening
those applications , a group of candidates were invited to participate in an
all-day assessment center, at which the Parks and Recreation Commission and
Interim Recreation Director participated as raters .
Three finalists were recommended to the City Manager to be interviewed. It
is the City Manager' s recommendation that Diane Lowart be appointed as the
City' s Recreation Director effective February 11 , 1985 .
Ms . Lowart is presently working as a Senior Recreation Supervisor with the
Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District . Ivis . Lowart has also worked
for the North Highlands Park and Recreation District , Cordova Parks and
Recreation District , and City of Woodland Parks and Recreation Department .
Ms . Lowart received her B.S . in Recreation from California State University,
Sacramento .

RESOLUTION NO. - 85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN •
CONFIRMING APPOINTMENT OF DIANE LOWART
AS RECREATION DIRECTOR FOR
THE CITY OF DUBLIN
WHEREAS, Section 6c of Ordinance No. 7 empowers the City
Manager to appoint department heads with the approval of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, on January 28, 1985, the City Manager'
recommended that the City Council approve his appointment of Diane
Lowart as the City' s Recreation Director; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the
recommendation of the City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the appointment of
Diane Lowart as Recreation Director for the City of Dublin is
hereby approved by the City Council
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of January,
1985, by the following vote.
