SUBJECT: Amendment to existing Agreement with Dublin Housing Au#hority in connection

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will consider an Amendment to the existing Agreement with Dublin Housing
Authority in connection with demolition and disposition of Arroyo Vista, This amendment will
allow the Dublin Housing Authority to con#inue provision of services as the project progresses.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Adequate funding exists in the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Adapted Operating Budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Au#horize City Manager #o execute First Amendment to Agreement between the City of Dublin
and the Dublin Housing Authority for the performance of services by the Housing Authority in
connection with the demolition and disposition of Arroyo Vista.

DESCRIPTION:
On January 16, 2007, the City entered into a contract with the Dublin Housing Authority to
provide redevelopment services in connection with the demolition and disposition of Arroyo
Vista. Completion of the redevelopment of Arroyo Vista has taken longer than originally
anticipated. Delays with processing of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) application and ongoing litigation have necessitated an amendment to the existing
agreement. The attached Amendment was approved by the Dublin Housing Authority at the
meeting of October 6, 2009.
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment
to the existing agreement allowing Dublin Housing Authority to continue with provision of
redevelopment services.
NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
None.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DUBLIN AND THE
DUBLIN HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF SERVICES BY THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEMOLITION AND
DISPOSITION OF ARROYO VISTA
This First Amendment to Agreement Between the City of Dublin and the Dublin Housing
Authority for the Performance of Services by the Housing Authority in Connection with the
Demolition and Disposition of Arroyo Vista, dated January 16, 2007 ("First Amendment") is made
as of October _, 2009, by and between the CITY OF DUBLIN ("City") and the DUBLIN HOUSING
AUTHORITY ("Authority").
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual agreements, the City and Authority hereby agree to
amend the Agreement Between the City of Dublin and the Dublin Housing Authority for the
Performance of Services by the Housing Authority in Connection with the Demolition and
Disposition of Arroyo Vista ("Agreement") as follows:
A. Section 1 of the Agreement is amended to delete the words "up to $60,000."
B. Section 3 of the Agreement is amended to delete the words "for a maximum of six
(6) months" from the second sentence.
C. Section 3 of the Agreement is amended to delete the words "for six months" from
the third sentence.
Except as amended herein, the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this First Amendment has been executed as of the date first
written above.
