SUBJECT: Acceptance of Gift to City from MCE Corporation

RECOMMENDATION: Recognize MCE Corporation for their donation, designate the
donated hours for the projects listed in the staff report, and formally
accept the contribution.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The donation is worth approximately $10,000.
DESCRIPTION: At the Dublin City Council Budget Hearing held on June 23, 2009, Steve Loweree
with MCE Corporation spoke before the City Council and stated that after nearly 25 years of service to the
City of Dublin, MCE Corporation would like to donate up to 300 hours of labor to the City of Dublin in
acknowledgement of their commitment to serving the City of Dublin. He went on to state that in the
current economic downturn, MCE Corporation wanted to contribute to the City they serve and the
community where they are based.
During the course of developing the budget for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, Staff worked with MCE
Corporation to make reductions in services that would not have a long term affect on the condition of
Dublin's public infrastructure. The following is a list of small projects that were originally recommended
to Staff by MCE Corporation for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Budget but were set aside due to
revenue shortfalls. Staff recommends that these projects be completed using the donated hours from MCE
Corporation:
