RECOMMENDATION• Recognize those businesses that have been in Dublin for 20 and 30
years
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: On May 1, 2007, the City Council adopted a Business Recognition
Program. One component of this Program included the development of a Business Anniversary Program,
to recognize the achievements of significant milestone anniversaries in our community: The Anniversary
Program acknowledges businesses that have been in Dublin for 10, 20 and 30 years. The Anniversary
Program calls for businesses operating for 20 and 30 years to be recognized at a City Council meeting in
May and September of any given year. Businesses that have been in business for 10 years would receive a
Certificate of Recognition and a letter from the City thanking them for their contribution to this
community.
In 2008, the City -held a special 25~' Anniversary Recognition Program in conjunction with the cityhood
celebration.
For 2009, the City has three businesses celebrating their 30~' year, 17 businesses celebrating their 20~'
year, and 80 businesses celebrating their 10~` year in the City of Dublin.
RECOMMENDATION: Recognize those businesses that have been in Dublin for 20 and 30
years
