received by the City Clerk's office that relate to an agenda item after
the agenda packets have been distributed to the City Council be
available to the public. This document is also available in the City
Clerk's office, the Dublin Library, and the City's Website.

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the resolution awarding Contract No. 08-16, In-Pavement
Lighted Crosswalk - Amador Valley Boulevard at Wildwood Road,
to Pleasanton Engineering, Inc.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: There were 15 bids received, the lowest of which was for $42,950
submitted by Pleasanton Engineering, Inc.

REVISION: This project is funded by designated Developer
Deposits and Measure BBike/Pedestrian Funds.
DESCRIPTION: This Capital Improvement Project, "Bike Lane - Amador Valley
Boulevard Corridor" (CIP No. 96778), is being constructed in two phases. The first phase will construct
an in-pavement flashing light crosswalk across Amador Valley Boulevard at Wildwood Road (Attachment
1). The crosswalk will facilitate traffic awareness and improve safety for those pedestrians and bicyclists
who are traveling. north-south on the Alamo Creek Trail, and wish to cross Amador Valley Boulevard.

The second phase of the project will extend the on-street bicycle path along Amador Valley Boulevard
and modify the existing striping to conform to the latest Class 2 bicycle path codes.
A total of fifteen (15) bids were received for the Phase I project (Attachment 2). The low bid of $42,950
was submitted by Pleasanton Engineering, Inc.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution awarding
Contract No. 08-16, In-Pavement Lighted Crosswalk - Amador Valley Boulevard at Wildwood Road, to
Pleasanton Engineering, Inc.
