HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 14-20 Accepting the Park Wayfinding Signs Improvements Project as Part of CIP Project No. PK0414 & PK0215RESOLUTION NO. 14-20 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ACCEPTING THE PARK WAYFINDING SIGNS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AS PART OF CIP PROJECT NOS. PK0414 AND PK0215 WHEREAS, on May 21, 2019 the City of Dublin entered into a contract with Frank and Son, Incorporated, dba Express Sign and Neon to complete the Park Wayfinding Signs improvements in conjunction with the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project Nos. PK0414 and PK0215; and WHEREAS, said improvements have been completed in accordance with plans and specifications, and any approved modifications thereof, to the satisfaction of the City Engineer of the City of Dublin; and WHEREAS, as a condition of the contract, Frank and Son Incorporated, dba Express Sign and Neon is required to warranty the improvements for a period of one year following acceptance of the work by the City of Dublin and maintain a maintenance bond in the amount of 10% of the final contract value. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby accept the Park Wayfinding Signs improvements as a part of CIP Project Nos. PK0414 and PK0215 and authorizes Staff to file a Notice of Completion with Alameda County, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby authorize the City Manager or designee to release the retention, if after 35 days of filing the Notice of Completion there are no subcontractor claims. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby authorize the City Manager or designee to release the maintenance bond at the end of the one- year warranty period.
