A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING PA 87-040 STREET NAME CHANGE FOR CALLE DE CASAS
WITHIN THE CORAL GATE DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 4-83 of the Dublin City Council authorizes
the City Council to change the name of a street and establishes procedures for
street name changes; and
WHEREAS, Coral Gate Development Property Owner Majid Rahebi
requested the City to change the name of Calle de Casas to Gate Way; and
WHEREAS, the addresses on Calle de Casas are not currently in use;
and
WHEREAS, the street name change request was referred to the
appropriate public agencies for review and comment; and
WHEREAS, the DSRSD Fire Department, the U.S. Postal Service, the
City Planning Department,.Engineering Department, and Police Department concur
with the proposed street name change; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin City Council considered both written and oral
testimonies presented by Staff and the general public concerning the proposed
street name change at the April 27, 1987, Council meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE TRAT
1. The street name change is in compliance with Sections 5-28.6
and 5-28.11 of the City's Municipal Code relating to the name and numbering of
streets.
2. The street name change will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety or general welfare.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED TRAT THE Dublin City Council hereby approves
the street name change of Calle de Casas to Gate Way subject to the following
condition:
1. The Applicant shall pay all fees as may be required by public agencies to
cover the costs associated with the street name change incurred by the
agencies.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, 1987.
