HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 047-88 CalTrafficSafetyWkRESOLUTION NO. 47- 88 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN SUPPORTING CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK AND PROCLAIMING MAY 22-28, 1988 as "CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK" WHEREAS, traffic collisions are the fourth leading cause of deaths in California; and WHEREAS, at least 92 percent of all injury-producing collisions are attributed to human error and couldbe prevented; and WHEREAS, Public and private institutions, along with concerned individuals, can promote traffic safety by increasing public awareness of safety measures; and ~ WHEREAS, the State of California is observing May 22 through 28, 1988, as California Traffic Safety Week; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby support the California Traffic Safety Week, and the proclamation of May 22-29, 1988, as "California Traffic Safety Week" in the City of Dublin, hoping this observance will encourage our citizens to increase their caution on the roads and highways to prevent traffic accidents.
