SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES OF MARCH 7,2005
Call to Order
Chairperson Greer Payton called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M.
Roll Call:
Committee Members(CM)Present: Hans Berg,Al Edge,Barbara Gifford,Greer Payton.
Absent: Luis Batiza
Staff: Paul McCreary, Parks and Community Services Manager; Herma Lichtenstein, Parks and Facilities Development
Manager;Anna Hudson,Recreation Coordinator
Oral Communications—None
Unfinished Business
At the Committee's regular meeting on March 3,2005,the Committee asked Staff to select alternate fabrics for the new chairs
for the game room and conference room for consideration.
Staff presented the alternate fabrics selected for the Committee's review.
After much discussion on color preferences and patterns, a motion was made to accept the following fabric choices for the new
Senior Center.
1. The fabric of the game chairs in the main lobby area and game room will be:
a. Maker: Momentum
b. Name of fabric: Jinx
c. Color:Violet
2. The fabric of the conference chairs will be:
a. Maker: Momentum
b. Name of fabric: Rendezvous
c. Color: Lemon
BY UNANIMOUS VOTE, THE COMMITTEE APPROVED THE FABRIC CHOICES OF THE CHAIRS. MOTION BY
CM BARBARA GIFFORD,SECONDED BY CM AL EDGE.
In the final decision,the Committee selected the following two colors for the table tops in the following areas of the Center:
1. The table top of the round banquet tables in the main banquet hall will be:
a. Color: Alaskan Slate
b. #7270-58 Matte Finish
c. Type: Formica
2. The table top of the tables in the game room,the art room and the lobby area will match the trim of the counters:
a. Maker: The Wilson Art
b. Color: Green Tigress
c. Type:Formica
ON A 3-1 VOTE, THE COMMITTEE APPROVED FABRIC CHOICES OF THE TABLE TOPS. MOTION BY CM AL
EDGE, SECONDED BY CM BARBARA GIFFORD. CM HANS BERG VOTED AGAINST THE COLOR, GREEN
TIGRESS.

Being no further business,the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
