SUBJECT: Teen Brainstorming and Planning

RECOMMENDATION: Receive brainstorm ideas and top ten issues,review and give input
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: On March 16, 1995 the City of Dublin and Dublin Unified School
District held a Teen Forum. The Forum provided opportunity for everyone to identify teens needs. The
Forum also gave an opportunity to teens to brainstorm ideas about activities they were interested in
participating.
Included is a list of the activities and top ten issues that rose from the Teen Forum.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Youth Advisory Committee review and discuss the information generated at
the 1995 Forum. Staff also asks that the Youth Advisory Committee brainstorm new ideas and edit the
1995 Forum lists. The Youth Advisory Committee should attempt to exclude activities that would be
unsuccessful and remove issues that are no longer a concern to teens.
