AGENDA STATEMENT
MEETING DATE:January 13, 1998
SUBJECT: Dublin Youth Advisory Committee Bylaws and Rules of Procedure
EXHIBITS ATTACHED: Draft Bylaws and Rules of Procedure
RECOMMENDATION: 1. Approve Bylaws and Rules of Procedure
2. Direct Staff to submit the Bylaws and Rules of Procedure
to the City Council for adoption
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: At the January 6, 1998 City Council Meeting the Council appointed
the eleven students who are going to serve on the Youth Advisory Committee. The role of the Committee
is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Staff, Parks and Community Services Commission, and City
Council as the voice for the teens in Dublin.
Due to the fact that this is a new formally appointed Committee,bylaws and rules of procedure have been
created for the Committee to operate under. The bylaws are patterned after the bylaws for our other two
Advisory Committees.
Recommendation •
Staff recommends that the Youth Advisory Committee review and approve the Bylaws and Rules of
Procedure and direct Staff to submit said bylaws to the City Council for adoption.
