SUBJECT: Billiards Bash Teen Event

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: The Dublin Parks and Community Services Department is planning
a Billiard's Bash at Room With A Cue. The event was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 18,
during Spring Break, however the Committee felt that Spring Break was a bad time to hold the event and
tasked Staff to investigate another date. The Committee liked the idea of having the event on a Thursday
or Sunday when there was no school the next day.
.The new date is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 26, from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. Negotiations
are still in progress with Room With A Cue regarding rental cost. The proposed rental cost is $800 for 4
hours,using the entire facility. Tickets could be pre-sold for $7 and sold at the door for$9. The prices of
the tickets may change depending on the outcome of the final cost. It is estimated that approximately 130
tickets would need to be sold to break even.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Committee review and discuss the new date for the Billiard's Bash and
determine if the event would draw the number of youth needed to cover the cost incurred for this event.
