SUBJECT: Committee Appointments ATTACHMENTS: None RECOMMENDATION: Make Appointments FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None DESCRIPTION: There are committees that require the representation of a member of the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission. As per the Bylaws and Rules of Procedure for the Commission, "The Commission or the Chairperson, upon direction of the Commission, may appoint several of its members,but less than a quorum, to serve as a Committee". A summary of the various committees and the current representatives and alternates are shown below. Art Selection Committee-Bray Commons An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation on artwork for the-Bray Commons development. Representative: Connie Mack Alternate: Kim Halket Art Selection Committee-Dublin Transit Center An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation on artwork for the Dublin Transit Center development. Representative: Mary Beth Acuff Alternate: Judy Lussie Public Art Master Plan Task Force An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation on the development of a Public Art Master Plan. Representative:Judy Lussie Alternate: Janet Fasulkey Museum Assessment Committee An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation for an assessment and development of a strategic plan for the Dublin Heritage Center. Representative: Mary Beth Acuff Representative: Judy Lussie Alternate: Janet Fasulkey COPIES TO: ITEM NO. 8.2 G:\HERITAGE COMMISSION\AGENDA_STMTS\2006\1-12-06 Committee Appt..doc DHPA Murray Schoolhouse Anniversary Celebration Committee An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to develop plans for a Friday evening gala event for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Murray Schoolhouse and new exhibit. Representative: Kim Halket At this time it does not appear that the Art Selection Committee for the Dublin Transit Center is going to be convening in the immediate future. Therefore it is recommended that this committee be deleted at this time and resurrected at such time that the project moves forward. It is the recommendation of Staff that the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission review the current committee appointments and make changes and/or appointments to the various committees as deemed necessary.
