SUBJECT: Appointment to the Fallon Sports Park Task Force

RECOMMENDATION: Appoint an alternate to serve on the Fallon Sports Park Task Force
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: One of the projects included in the 2002-2007 Capital Improvement
Program is the development of a master plan for the 60± acre Sports Park that will be located on Fallon
Road between Central Parkway and Gleason Drive. The City Council approved the formation of a
Community Task Force to provide input and direction on the development of a comprehensive master
plan for the Fallon Sports Park.
The composition of the Task Force as approved by the City Council includes representation from the
Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission, Parks and Community Services Commission, Senior Center
Advisory Committee and Youth Advisory Committee.
At the January Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission meeting Commissioner Mack was appointed as the
Commission representative to the Task Force. However, the alternate stated in the minutes was incorrect.
Therefore, it is the recommendation of Staff that the Chairperson appoint an alternate to serve on the
Fallon Sports Park Task Force in the absence of Commissioner Mack.
