2) Authorize payment in the amount of $226,890.40 to
Teichert Construction.

This project is under budget for both the total project and for Fiscal Year 1986-87.
DESCRIPTION:
In March, 1987, the City Council awarded Contract 87-2, the Annual
Overlay and Street Repair Program, to Teichert Construction.
In addition to placing a 1.5" asphalt overlay on Davona Drive, from
Alcosta to Village Parkway, and on Lewis Avenue, the project included dig-out repair
on Sierra Court, Regional Street, Beverly Lane, Longford Way, Newry Place, and
Estrella Court. Subdrains were also installed in Estrella Court to prevent
deterioration caused by underground water. The repair on Regional Street and Sierra
Court is in anticipation of the 1987-88 Annual Overlay, and the other streets are in
the 1986-87 slurry seal project.
The City Engineer has reviewed the work on the project and determined
that it is complete and in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements and authorize payment
to Teichert Construction in the amount of $226,890.40.
