AGENDA STATEMENT
City Council Meeting Date: February 9, 1987
SUBJECT: Public Hearing: Yield Right-of-Way Signs Recommended
by the JHK Traffic Survey.

an urgency basis.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: This cost is included in the funds approved with
adoption of JHK's final report.
DESCRIPTION:
One of the recommendations included in the final report of the JHK
traffic engineering study that was adopted on January 13, 1986, was
installation of Yield Right-of-Way signs at several free right turn locations
in the City, as per the Draft Ordinance and attachment from JHK's report.,
Adoption of an ordinance is required for installation of Yield signs.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt this ordinance on an urgency
basis as part of the implementation of the JHK study.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows:
Section 1. YIELD RIGHT OF WAY:
Article 3, relating to "Yield Right-of-Way Intersections", of the
Alameda County Ordinance Code previously adopted by the City of Dublin is amended by
the addition of Sections 6-55.92 through 6-55.98 to read:
6-55.92 Village Parkway, southbound right turn lane, at Dublin
Boulevard.
6-55.93 San Ramon Road, southbound right turn lane, at Dublin
Boulevard.
6-55.94 Dublin Boulevard; westbound right turn lane, at San Ramon
Road.
6-55.95 Village Parkway, northbound right turn lane, at Amador
Valley Boulevard.
6-55.96 Amador Valley Boulevard, eastbound right turn lane, at
Village Parkway.
6-55.97 San Ramon Road, northbound right turn lane, at Dublin
Boulevard.
6-55.98 Amador Valley Boulevard, westbound right turn lane, at
Village Parkway.
Section 2. IMMEDIATE EFFECT:
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment
because the adoption and immediate effect thereof is necessary in order to protect
vehicular and pedestrian safety.
Section 3. POSTING OF ORDINANCE:
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this Ordinance to
be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of Dublin in accordance
with Section 36933 of the Government Code of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Dublin on this 9th
day of February, 1987.
