DESCRIPTION:
The City of Dublin's Parks and Community Services Department has been restructured for greater
efficiency. The Department is now divided into three divisions, each overseen by a manager: Business
Services division, Parks and Recreation division, and Heritage and Cultural Arts division.
The Business Services Division provides internal and external customer services, including contract
management, management of special agreements, graphic design and production support and general
office assistance.
The Parks and Recreation Division oversees facilities including Shannon Community Center, the Senior
Center and the Aquatic Center, and general recreation programs for all ages, including preschool,
afterschool programs at school sites, Senior Center programming, sports and aquatics programs.
The Heritage and Cultural Arts Division oversees Heritage Park facilities and programming, cultural arts
programming, special events, sponsorships and promotions and public art.
Staff will provide an overview of the Department Divisions and Heritage and Cultural Arts staff
assignments at the Commission meeting (Attachment 1).
