SUBJECT: Presentation of Investment Portfolio by Chandler Asset Management

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will receive a report from Chandler Asset Management, on the structure and
performance of the City's investment portfolio.

This report is for informational purposes only.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council receive the report.

DESCRIPTION:
At its August 20, 2013 meeting the City Council authorized an agreement with Chandler Asset
Management (Chandler) to manage the City's investments. Since then Chandler has worked
diligently to rebalance the City's portfolio in order to maximize earnings while protecting assets.
Chandler will update the City Council on the general performance of the portfolio over the last
year. This report is different from both the annual investment policy review and the quarterly
investment reports provided by the Administrative Services Department, in that it is not required
by the State and will provide only a high level look at the portfolio.
Staff recommends that the City Council receive the report.
