FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Budgeted for this project: Design/Miscellaneous Improvements $ 70,950 $ 258,395 TOTAL: $ 329,345 The funding sources for this project are as follows: Federal TEA-21 funds ($175,000), TDA Article 3 funds ($43,337), State Gas Tax ($72,500), and City General Fund ($38,508). DESCRIPTION: The Alamo Canal Bike Path project would construct the second phase of the Iron Horse Trail along the Alamo Canal from Amador Valley Boulevard south to the Iron Horse Trail/Alamo Canal Trail junction. This project will close the gap between the trail noah of Amador Valley Boulevard and the section of the Iron Horse trail built by the developer of the Park Sierra Apartment complex. Completion of this project would extend the Iron Horse trail south to Dougherty Road. This project includes the installation of a pedestrian signal at Arnador Valley Boulevard that will provide a safe crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians. In addition, the north and south trail entrances at Amador Valley Boulevard will be enhanced with landscaping and irrigation.
