FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The City received $8,500 from sponsors for the festival. DESCRIPTION: The 2003 Day on the Glen Festival was held on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28, at Emerald Glen Park. The festival was attended by over 10,000 people and was well supported by local businesses. The City received $8,500 in sponsorships for the festival. In addition the City received overwhelming support in the form of in-kind donations of goods and services from local businesses. A list of the sponsors is shown below. MONETARY SPONSORS Braddock and Logan $2,000 Dublin Auto Center $1,000 Dublin Toyota $1,000 IKEA $1,000 P&R Marketing $1,000 RREEF Hacienda Crossings $!,000 Wells Fargo Bank $1,000 Amici's Pizza $ 500 Total Monetary Contributions $8,500 IN-KIND SPONSORS Contra Costa Times Advertising E1 Monte RV Vehicles Enterprise Car Rental Vehicles Fuddruckers Product Hardtails Skateboard Competition Sponsor Radisson Dublin Lodging Toys R Us Discounted Product WB20 Advertising In recognition of their contributions, these sponsors will be presented with certificates of appreciation and festival commemorative glassware for supporting this important community event. Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be formally accepted by the City Council.
