RECOMMENDATION: C~ Receive presentation from Virginia Wright and Jerry Allen from
Wright Consulting
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: In 2001-2002 the Dublin City Council rated as a high priority goal:
"the creation of a Public Art Master Plan for the City of Dublin"'. As a result, Wright Consulting was
contracted in June to create a Public Art Master Plan for Dublin.
Consultants Virginia Wright and Jerry Allen have facilitated the development of dozens of community
and public art plans for cities nationwide. They have learned that sharing best practices and listening
carefully to the dreams and aspirations of a community are both key to the development of a successful
plan. The consultants will brief the City Council on their planning process and share a slide presentation
demonstrating the ways public art programs can enhance the urban landscape.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council receive the
presentation from Wright Consulting. .,:.
