FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Total Budget & Budget Estimated Costs 2003-2004 Design/Constr. Mgmt./Inspection: $ 735,689 $ 228,882 Improvements: $ 1,310,604 $ 1,310,604 TOTAL: $ 2,046,293 $1,539,486 Construction of the project will be funded using Dublin's 20% set-aside Th-Valley Transportation Development Fees (TVTDF) collected by Dublin specifically for this project. A balance of $1,384,855 in TVTDF 20% funds is projected to be collected by Dublin before expenditure for FY 03-04; however, approximately $154,631 will be required to fully fund the project. Staff is seeking an advance of additional TVTDF funds for the project as part of the Th-Valley Transportation Expenditure Plan Update. If sufficient funds are not collected for this project at the time of construction, it is proposed to borrow the necessary funds from the City's Traffic Impact Fee-Category 3 program and pay the loan back as future TVTDF funds are collected. DESCRIPTION: Staff has completed the plans, specifications and estimates required by Caltrans to carry out the construction of the 1-580/San Ramon Road/Foothill Road Interchange Improvement Project. The proposed capital project would accomplish the following: Realign the westbound 1-580 off-ramp terminus to a tee intersection at San Ramon Road and install a new signal COPIES TO: ITEM NO. ~ g:kmiscproj\i-580/SanRamon\agstauth ! Remove the westbound 1-580 to southbound San Ramon Road loop off-ramp · Landscape the San Ramon Road median between the new tee intersection and Dublin Boulevard · Overlay San Ramon Road between the new tee intersection and Dublin Boulevard Caltrans is finalizing its review of the plans, and it is anticipated that the City will have the encroachment permit needed to build the project by early July. Pleasanton Council is scheduled on July 15, 2003, to approve the necessary State agreement and allow Dublin to perform work within Pleasanton's city limits. The construction period is estimated at approximately 100 working days. Staff recommends that the City Council authorize solicitation of bids for Contract No. 03-11, 1-580/San Ramon Road/Foothill Road Interchange Improvement Project. Page 2 0--~'2----
