EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will acknowledge the City’s award of the Certificate of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting for its CAFR for fiscal year 2011-12.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council receive the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in
Financial Reporting.

DESCRIPTION:
Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFRs) are produced to provide the City Council,
City staff, and the general public with useful information about the City’s operations and financial
position. The reports are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP), and are reviewed rigorously by an outside auditor for accuracy, completeness, and
fairness in the way data is presented.
The City of Dublin was recently notified that it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement

for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its CAFR for fiscal year 2011-12. This is the 22
consecutive year that the City has been acknowledged with this prestigious award, the highest
form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and finance. This is a testament to
the City’s ongoing commitment to excellence and transparency in financial reporting.
