Schaefer Ranch Development, Inc., developer of Schaefer Ranch Unit 2 — Tract 8000,
submitted a letter requesting to change the name of Sara Lee Court to Sara Ann Court.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There will be no financial impact to the City. The cost associated with the removal and
installation of new street name signage will be paid for by Schaefer Ranch Development, Inc.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a Resolution approving the renaming of Sara Lee
Court to Sara Ann Court.

DESCRIPTION:
On November 15, 2012, the City received a letter (Attachment 1) from Monte Davis, Schaefer
Ranch Development, Inc., requesting to change the name of Sara Lee Court to Sara Ann Court.
With the Final Map for Tract 8000 — Schaefer Ranch Unit 2, Schaefer Ranch Development, Inc.
dedicated the right -of -way for Sara Lee Court to the City of Dublin. Upon acceptance of the
required street improvements by the City, Sara Lee Court will become a public street.
According to the developer, the street name Sara Lee Court was submitted to the City in error.
Section 7.08.070 of the Dublin Municipal Code states that if there are no addresses in use on a
street, the name of which is to be changed, the City Council may make such a change without
referral to the Planning Commission and without a Public Hearing. Staff believes that Sara Lee
Court meets this criteria.
In order to change the name of a street, notice must be made to various agencies to ensure that
there are no similarly named streets in the area. Staff has provided verbal notice to the various
agencies and has not received any concerns or objections.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the Resolution (Attachment 2) approving the
renaming of Sara Lee Court to Sara Ann Court.

RESOLUTION NO. -13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING THE RENAMING OF SARA LEE COURT TO SARA ANN COURT
WHEREAS, Schaefer Ranch Development, Inc. has requested that the City rename Sara
Lee Court to Sara Ann Court; and
WHEREAS, the street re- naming has been reviewed in accordance with the provisions of
Section 7.08.070 of the Dublin Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hear and consider all such reports, recommendations
and testimony hereinabove set forth and supports the request; and
WHEREAS, there are no addresses in use on Sara Lee Court, making it exempt from the
Planning Commission and Public Hearing process pursuant to Section 7.08.070 of the Dublin
Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby approve the request to rename Sara Lee Court to Sara Ann Court.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 2013
