AGENDA STATEMENT
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: March 4, 2003
SUBJECT: Date for Grand Opening Activities for the new Dublin Public
Library
Report by Theresa Yvonne, Heritage and Cultural Arts Supervisor

RECOMMENDATION: ~~Approve the dates for the two events.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: $10,000 was allocated by the City for the Opening Day Ceremonies
of the Library in Dublin.
DESCRIPTION: City Council at the meeting of February 18, 2003 approved the
activities planned by the Alameda County Library Foundation for the Preview Party and the City of
Dublin and the Alameda County Library Staff for the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Dublin
Public Library.
The dates suggested for the events are Thursday, April 10, 2003 for the Preview Party and Saturday, April
12, 2003 for the Grand Opening to the public.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Staff that City Council receive the report and
approve the dates suggested for the two events.
