Plan. My name is Michael Harris and I reside at 7964 Gunshot Ct, Dublin, CA. Concerns I have about the recommendation centers around traffic -specifically Village Parkway and Dublin Blvd. There will be major traffic impacts if the number of lanes were to be reduced. There is already a high volume of traffic, not only inner city, but also from the 580 East commute bypass. I am not sure what the term "calming" refers to, however it appears slowing the traffic would divert cars into lower density streets and clog them as well. Reducing Village Parkway to one lane would impact the businesses as well. For Dublin Blvd., the current set up is for big box retail requiring a lot of vehicular traffic. This would conflict with pedestrians with the long line of cars and would depend heavily upon traffic signal timing. There is also a separation with the 680 that separates Village Parkway from the remainder of downtown. Providing access between the end points of Amador and Dublin Blvd would encourage more pedestrian traffic between the downtown entities (along with unifying it). With the new BART station, traffic would increase and discourage casual access to that station along with businesses. Thank you, Michael Harris (408) 690-6877 t F~ . ni - ~i Fj i ,i ti I' ~I Y~ ~ sI
