SB 343
Senate Bill 343 mandates supplemental materials that have been
received by the City Clerk's office that relate to an agenda item after
the agenda packets have been distributed to the City Council be
available to the public.
The attached document was received in the City Clerk's office after
distribution of the July 19, 2011 City Council meeting agenda packet.

Dear Mayor Sbranti & Councilmembers:
I understand that tlae Aublin City Council will be considering, at its July 19, 2011 meeting, an u.pdate
on the City's AET~ program. It has been my pleasure to serve on the Task Porce reviewing this
program and I would like to take a moment to express my thoughts on this matter.
I axn supportive of the recommendations in the report, Z be~ieve that the program will help educste
Dubliz~ busiz~esses oz~ tk~e bene~ts o~ tkae pxo~t'~. A.s ~ indicated in my prior letter, the Dublin
Cl~ambez oS' Comnt~exce is supportive of a voluntaty, not mandatory, ~CT~ program in the City o£
Dublin. The Chamber is, supportive of an~-1ED program that is voluntary rather than mandatory. A
mandated program would be extremely costly to businesses, particularly small busznesses that have
been struggling financiAlly for the past several years with tl~e downturn in ~tl~e economy.
T believe that the educational outreach program referenced in the Staff report would be bez~e~cial to
Dublin business. The Chamber remains committed to working with the City to pcovzde the necessary
information about the A~D program to its members through newsletter articles, e-xnail blasts, etc. in
order to assist them in malcing the right decision for their business.
