EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will recognize those businesses that have been in Dublin 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45
and 50 years.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council recognize those businesses that have been in Dublin
for 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years.

DESCRIPTION:
On May 1, 2007, the City Council adopted a Business Recognition Program. One component
of this Program included the development of a Business Anniversary Program, to recognize the
achievements of significant milestone anniversaries in our community. The Anniversary
Program acknowledges businesses that have been in Dublin for 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and
50 years. The Anniversary Program calls for businesses operating for more than 20 years to be
recognized at a City Council meeting. Businesses that have been in business for 10 years have
received a Certificate of Recognition.
For 2011, the City has one business celebrating 50th year, one business celebrating 45th year,
one business celebrating 40th year, four businesses celebrating 35th year, one business
celebrating their 30th year, seven celebrating 25th year, 21 businesses celebrating their 20th year
and 44 businesses celebrating their 10th year in the City of Dublin. Those businesses that are
being recognized are included as a list in Attachment 1.

None.
