A regular meeting of the City o~ Dubl-in Planning Commission was held on
September 5, 1989, in the Meeting Raam, Dublin Library. The meeting was
called to order at 7:30 p.m, by Gm. Barnes, Chairman.

PRESENT: Commissioners Barnes, Burnham, Mack, Okun, and Zika; and
Laurence L. Tong, Planning Director.

Cm. Barnes led the Gommission, Staff, and those present in the pledge of
allegiance to the flag.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
SUBJECT: PA 89-475 Goodwill Industries Conditional
Use Permit request to establish a Goodwill
donation station trailer in the parking
lot of the Payless Store ~.ocated at 7333
Regional; Street
Cm. Barnes opened the public hearing and called £or tt~e Staff Report.
Mr. Tong indicated that the Planning Department had received a letter from the
Applicant today requesting withdrawal of his application.
On motion from Cm. Okun, seconded by Cm. Mack, with a vote of 5-0, the
Planning Commission accepted the withdrawal of the application without
prejudice.

9.1 Memo from Staff - Sign Amortization
Program - Status Update
The Commission and Mr. Tong discussed the status of the sign amqrtization
program.

PLANNING COMMISSIONERS' 60NCERNS
Cm. Zika indicated that the 20/20,recycling centers located at Albertsons and
Lucky were in a disorderly manner.
Cm. Zika indicated that he v~as under the impression that one of the conditions
on the Goodwill donation statia~ was for the eyclone fencing to have slats.
Cm. Barnes indicated that the newspaper bins at the high school and Albertsons
were not being kept up and the area loaked particularly messy this week.
Cm. Zika indicated that the newspap~r bin a~ Luckys was in the same condition.
Mr. Tong advised that these concerns would be laoked into.
