Regular Meeting - April 20, 19$7
A regular meeting of the City of Dublin Planning Commission was held on
April 20, 1987, in the Meeting Room, Dublin Library. The meeting was called
to order at 7:00 p.m. by Cm. Raley, Chairperson.

ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Commissioners Barnes, Burnham, Petty, Mack, and Raley, and
Laurence L. Tong, Planning Director.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
Cm. Raley led the Commission, Staff, and thase present in the pledge of
allegiance to the flag.

ADDITIONS OR REVISIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mr. Tong advised the Commissioners that the Applicants fAr Item 8.1, PA 87-
018 Enea Plaza, PD Planned Development project, have requested an additional
continuance. He stated it was anticipated the project would be heard at the
next Planning Commission meeting (May 4, 1987).

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the meeting of April 6, 1987, were approved as presented.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. Tong advised that the Commissioners had received several Action Letters
for informational purposes.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
SUBJECT: PA 87-018 Enea Plaza, PD Planned Development Rezoning request.
On motion by Cm. Petty, seconded by Cm. Barnes, and by a unanimous vote,
Item 8.1, PA 87-018 Enea Plaza, PD Planned Development Rezoning request was
continued to the Planning Commission meeting of May 4, 1987.

NEW BUSINESS OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Mr. Tong advised that the City Council would be considering the No Sleeping
in Vehicles Ordinance, Second Reading, the Fire Safe Roofing Ordinance, First
Reading, and a Street Name Change for Coral Gate Development at their meeting
of April 27, 1987. He also advised that at the next Planning Commission
meeting, May 4, 1987, the Diamond Sign/Vista Green (PA 87-041) Conditional
Use Permit application (which was continued from the April 6, 1987, meeting)
and PA 87-018 Enea Plaza, PD Planned Development project would be heard, and
possibly along with a couple of other public hearing items. He indicated
that on May 18, 1987, the Planning Commission is scheduled to review the
Capital Improvement Program.

OTHER BUSINESS
In response to an inquiry by Cm. Mack regarding PA 87-035 Thanos Fence
Variance, which was denied by the Zoning Administrator, Mr. Tong explained
that the three required findings of fact could not be met, necessitating
denial of the request. He indicated that Staff had discussed with the
Thanos' a fence alternative permitted by the existence of their backyard
pool. He stated that a fence up to 12 feet high, of materials which allow
90~ light penetration, would be acceptable.
Cm. Barnes advised that she would not be present at the Planning Commission
meeting of June l, 1987.
