RECOMMENDATION: Confirm appointment of Steven Bradley Suoja as member and Raul
E. Matute as alternate on the WAAC.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: The Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority has recently
advertised Dublin openings on the WHEELS Accessible Advisory Committee. LAVTA operates the
WHEELS public transit, DART, and Dial-A-Ride services in the Cities of Dublin, Livermore and
Pleasanton. The WAAC is composed of seven representatives from the community to provide input on
accessibility issues relating to the services it operates.
In accordance with the Bylaws of the WAAC, each member City shall each select and appoint two (2)
members and one (1) alternate member to the Committee.
On June 16, 1998, Mayor Houston appointed Dublin resident Paul C. Moffatt to serve on this Committee.
At this time, the Mayor recommends the appointment of Steven Bradley Suoja as the City's second
representative and' appointment of Raul E. Matute as alternate.
