The meeting was called to order at 5:02:30 PM., by Mayor Sbranti. -~ ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmembers Biddle, Hart, Hildenbrand, Scholz, and Mayor Sbranti ABSENT: PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited by the City Council, Staff and those present. --~.. - - - Public Comments 5:03 p.m. 3.1 No comments were made by any member of the public at this time. ~~ =~i CONSENT CALENDAR - None -, =~= _ WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - None _ _ __ = '~. -- - _ PUBLIC HEARING - None - - ~~i - UNFINISHED BUSINESS - None DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 VOLUME 29 `,~ o oo~ SPECIAL MEETING n; ~,^ ~~ DECEMBER 7, 2010 '~~~~v~l ~', ~ ~~, ~•~ L/ 20~' ~~ DRAFT _ _~i NEW BUSINESS Certification of November 2, 2010 Election Results 5:03 p.m. 8.1 (630-30) City Clerk Caroline Soto presented the Staff Report and advised that the City had received and would certify the November 2, 2010 election results for the Office of Mayor and two City Councilmembers from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. Mayor Tim Sbranti was elected to another finro-year term as Mayor and Don Biddle and Eric Swalwell were elected as City Councilmembers, each to serve four-year terms. On motion of Cm. Hart, seconded by Vm. Hildenbrand and by unanimous vote, the City Council adopted RESOLUTION NO. 168-10 RECITING THE FACTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2010, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF, AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW __ ~ . Presentation of Plaque to Outctoinq Councilmember Kate Ann Schulz 5:04:54 PM 8.2 (610-50) Mayor Sbranti advised that Councilmember Kate Ann Scholz had served on the Dublin City Council from 2006 through 2010. The City would present a plaque to her in appreciation of her dedicated service to the City. The City Council thanked Cm. Scholz for her service to the City. Cm. Scholz thanked the City Council and Staff for their work. She spoke of her work in the City during the last four years. The City Council presented outgoing City Councilmember Kate Ann Scholz with a plaque of appreciation. ~- DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 2 VOLUME 29 ,~y~~~U~ SPECIAL MEETING n;~ ~ ~a ~ DECEMBER 7, 2010 '`\~~~~/ ~~ N~~ ~ ~~ ~~~ DRAFT Administration of Oath of Office to Newlv Elected Mavor and Councilmembers 5:17:46 PM 8.3 (640-60) City Clerk Caroline Soto presented the Staff Report and advised that the Oath of Office would be administered to the newly elected Mayor and City Councilmembers by Alameda County Superior Court Judge Roy Hashimoto. Judge Hashimoto administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Mayor Tim Sbranti and City Councilmembers Don Biddle and Eric Swalwell.
