Oral History Program Criterion
CITY OF
DUBLIN
The City of Dublin shall maintain a list of people to be interviewed for its Oral History Program. The
interviewees or subjects shall meet one of the Criteria in the table below. The City will maintain the
list, coordinate the interviews and preserve the recordings in its archives so that they will be available
to the public and future generations.

Former and current residents, family or friends who have a
connection to the early development of Dublin
1. Early Settlement
2. Ranching/agriculture
3. City Incorporation
4. Experiences being a minority in Dublin
5. Camp Parks, Shoemaker Hospital and associated
facilities
6. Persons involved in the Dublin School District
7. Former and current Dublin City Mayors, Council members,
appointed officials, staff and members of other closely
associated government groups. This will include fire
department, transportation providers or others who have
insight into Dublin's founding and development.
8. Persons involved with Civic clubs, groups, events,
projects, services within Dublin.
9. Former and current residents and their experiences of
Dublin prior to 1970
Anyone that does not meet the City of Dublin Oral History Program Criterion may request a private-
one hour interview by a trained volunteer. The cost for the one hour interview and a CD recording is
$25.00 A typed transcript is also available for $75.00 (a total of $100.00 for both.) The person
(interviewee/subject) must agree to be recorded. These Oral Histories are private and will not be
added to the Dublin Archives or be available for public use, unless requested by the interview subject
and found to be within the criterion listed above.
