DESCRIPTION: The 2008 Bike to Work Day Energizer Station was held on
Thursday, May 15, at the DublinlPleasanton BART station underpass. Although the weather was
exceptionally warm, approximately 315 bicyclists visited the Energizer Station while commuting to work.
At the Energizer Station, the bicyclists received free refreshments, T-shirts, and tote bags containing
giveaways from regional and local contributing sponsors. A list ofthe sponsors is shown below.

In recognition of the contributions, these sponsors will be presented with certificates of appreciation for
supporting Bike to Work Day. Per Government Code Section, 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and
contributions be formally accepted by the City Council.
Staff recommends that the City Council recognize the sponsors and formally accept the contributions.
