DESCRIPTION: In FY 2007-2008, $11,000 has been allocated in the Dublin Heritage
Center budget to provide for the repainting of the exterior elements of St. Raymond's Church, including
the building and adjacent fencing. The project was advertised in accordance with the City's ordinance and
six bids were received by the bid opening on May 1, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. A summary of the bid results is
attached to this Report.
The lowest bid was received from Color Chart, Inc. of San Bruno. The bidder's total bid is $8,700.00,
which is for completion ofthe entire project. The amount of the total bid plus a 10% contingency is within
the project budget.
Staff has reviewed the bidder's proposal and license status. Staff also checked the contractor's references
and received no negative comments. Therefore, Staff recommends awarding Contract Number 08-05 to
Color Chart, Inc.
The project is expected to take 20 working days to complete. It is anticipated that the project will be
finished by the end of June.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution
awarding Contract 08-05 to Color Chart, Inc. in the amount of $8,700 for the St. Raymond's Church
Exterior Painting Project.
