HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 09-87 Accident Site SolicitORDINANCE NO. 9 -87 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN PROHIBITING SOLICITATION AT ACCIDENT SITES The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows: Section 1: SOLICITATION AT ACCIDENTS PROHIBITED. No person shall at the location of any vehicular accident or other catastrophe or calamity, solicit or offer the sale of any tow service, or the sale of any other services. The prohibition contained in this Section shall apply from the time of the happening of any of the aforesaid occurrences until a reasonable time thereafter, and at all times while law enforcement officers, public health personnel, emergency personnel, and other persons discharging duties imposed by law, are actively engaged in the performance of duty at the location of said occurrences. Section 2: SUPERSESSION. This Ordinance shall supersede the provisions of Section 5-34.3 of Chapter 5 of Title 5 of the Alameda County Code, as adopted by Dublin Ordinance No. 13. Section 3: EFFECTIVE DATE AND POSTING OF ORDINANCE. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. The City Clerk of the City of' Dublin shall cause this Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government Code of the State of California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Dublin on this 9th day of February , 1987, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Hegarty, Moffatt, Snyder, Vonheeder'and Mayor Jeffery NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: City Clerk
