DESCRIPTION: On August 16, 2005 the City Council awarded a contract to G and G
Builders to complete the renovation of two play areas at Dolan Park. Staff along with representatives
from G and G Builders completed a walkthrough on November 17,2005. Pending completion of a few
minor punch list items, all elements of the project were complete.
Upon City Council acceptance oCthe projcct and completion of punch list itcms, Staff will file a notice of
completion with Alameda County Clerk. The City will releasc the 10% retention thirty-five days
subsequent to recording the notice of completion with Alameda County.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommcndation of Staff that the City Council take the
following action:
I) Accept the final facility improvements; and
2) Adopt Resolution accepting thc completed facility improvements;

RESOLUTION NO. - 05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBUN

ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS TO DOLAN PARK
CONTRACT NUMBER 05-10
WHEREAS, G and G Builders, Incorporated entered into a contract with the City of Duhlin to
complete the renovation of the Dolan Park Play Area in accordance with plans and specifications on file
with the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, said improvements have been complctcd in accordance with said plans and
specifications, and any approved modifications thercof, to the satisfaction of said City Enginccr of the
City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, as a condition of said contract, G and G Builders Incorporated is requircd to
warranty the improvements for a period of onc ycar following acceptance of the work by the said City of
Duhlin; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that:
I.
Thc improvements completed within the said Facility, are hereby approved and
accepted subj ect to the aforesaid one-year warranty; and
The said original performance bond posted in connection with the work involved
in thc construction of said Facility be herehy released upon acceptance of said
warranty.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December 2005.
