RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution approving 50-Foot No Parking Zone
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Sufficient funds are available in the Street Maintenance Operating
Budget to pay the minor cost of installing red curb
DESCRIPTION: Staff received this No Parking Zone request from the Homeowners'
Association of the Vineyards at Dublin Greene development, whose main point of entry is Roscommon
Way at Glynnis Rose Drive. The request noted that a larger van is typically parked along the west side of
Glynnis Rose Drive just north of Roscommon Way, causing a visibility problem for drivers turning from
Roscommon Way onto Glynnis Rose Drive. Staffs field review confirmed that the van was parked
there (photograph, Attachment 3) and that visibility of oncoming traffic is obstructed. It is therefore
recommended to prohibit parking for a distance of 50 feet to improve visibility.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution (Attachment 1) approving the 50-foot No
Parking Zone onthe west side of Glynnis Rose Drive north of Roscommon Avenue.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

APPROVING NO PARKING ZONE ON GLYNNIS ROSE DRIVE
NORTH OF ROSCOMMON WAY
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250, and in the interest of
public safety, parking is prohibited on the westerly curbline of Glynnis Rose Drive, from the northerly
curbline of Roscommon Way. northerly a distance of 50 feet.
Section 2.
Traffic Code.
Said No Parking Zone shall be added to Section 6.28.010 of the City of Dublin
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 2004.
