SUBJECT: Amended Schedule of Locations for the Posti>.g of City Ordinances

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution amending the schedule of locations for the posting
Ily of City Ordinances.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: Government Code Section 36933 requires that all City Ordinances
be published or posted in at least three public places within the City of Dublin. Following their adoption,
Ordinances are posted within 15 days and remain posted for public view for a period not less than 30 days.
Currently, Resolution No. 109 — 89 designates the Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza; Dublin Library,
7606 Amador Valley Boulevard; and Shannon Community Center, 11600 Shannon Avenue, as the posting
locations for Ordinances.
On Monday, June 28, 2004, the Shannon Community Center was closed, due to water intrusion, until a
date uncertain. As such, it is necessary to remove that location from the posting schedule and replace it
with another public location. It is appropriate to change the location from the Shannon Community
Center at 11600 Shannon Avenue to the Dublin Senior Center at 7437 Larlcdale Avenue.
It is also appropriate at this time to amend the posting location schedule to reflect the change in address
for the Dublin Library from 7606 Amador Valley Boulevard to 200 Civic Plaza.
These posting locations are also used for the posting of all City agendas, public hearing notices and other
appropriate documents.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a Resolution amending the schedule of locations for the
posting of City Ordinances to: 1) the Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza; 2) the Dublin Library, 200
Civic Plaza; and 3) Dublin Senior Center, 7437 Larlcdale Avenue.

OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 109 - 89
RELATED TO POSTING LOCATIONS FOR CITY ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 36933 requires that all Ordinances be published or posted
in at least three public places within the City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to change the location of one of the postings from the former Dublin
Library at 7606 Amador Valley Boulevard to the new Dublin Library at 200 Civic Plaza; and
WHEREAS, the closing of the Shannon Community Center necessitates a change to one of the
mandated posting locations from Shannon Community Center at 11600 Shannon Avenue to the Dublin
Senior Center, 7437 Larkdale Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Ordinances shall be posted at the following locations:
1) Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza
2) Dublin Library, 200 Civic Plaza
3) Dublin Senior Center, 7437 Larkdale Avenue
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
amend the posting location schedule.

A RESOLUTION 0~ THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 104-86
RELATED TO POSTING LOCATIONS FOR CITY ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 36933 requires that all
ordinances be published or posted in at least three public places
within the City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to change the location of one
of the postings from the office of the City Clerk at 6500 Dublin
Boulevard to the Dublin Civic Center, 100 CiviC Plaza; and
WHEREAS, ordinances shall be posted at the following
locations:
1) At the Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza
2) At the Dublin Library, 7606 Amador Valley Boulevard
3) At the Shannon Community Center, 11600 Shannon Avenue
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Dublin does hereby amend the posting location
schedule.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September,
1989.
