YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
REGULAR MEETING
March 27, 2024
A Regular Meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday, March 27,
2024, at the Shannon Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM by
Chairperson Braden Ou.

2) PRESENTATIONS – None.
3) PUBLIC COMMENT
Susan Gardner, Teen Librarian, reported on the library’s April calendar of events, highlighting
April’s writing contest, Spring break activities, and the Teen & Adult Art Show. She also let the
Committee know that applications for the Teen Poet Laureate will open on Monday, April 1,
2024.

4) CONSENT CALENDAR
4.1) Approved January 24, 2024, Regular Youth Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes.
On a motion by Committee Member KarurParekh, seconded by Committee Member Jain, and
by unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent Calendar.
RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS]

5) UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
6) NEW BUSINESS
6.1) Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report Presentation
The Committee received an informational presentation from Nicki Wanzenried, Recreation
Coordinator, regarding Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report and discussed presenting it
to the Parks and Community Services Commission and City Council.
6.2) 2024 Dublin Benefit Concert Ad Hoc Committee Updates and Discussion
The Committee received an update on the Benefit Concert from the Ad Hoc committee.
6.3) Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable Event
The Committee discussed participation in the Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable
event and what information and ideas they obtained from the event.
7) STAFF AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
Nicki Wanzenried, Recreation Coordinator, reminded the Committee that the applications for
the Youth Advisory Committee and Student Representative to the Parks and Community
Services Commission will be closing Friday, March 29, 2024.
