November 15 , 2017
The November 15, 2017 meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was called to order at
7:00 PM at the Dublin Senior Center by Vice Chair Liu.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by the Commission, Staff and those present.
ROLL CALL
Committee Members (CM) Present: Brakeman, Bray, Dhillon, Furtado, Goel, Huang, Kolan, Liu,
Matheny, Mitr, Padakandla, Peram, Sharma, Yao Xiao
Committee Members Absent: Nuruddin, Tran
Liaison Present: Butler, Parks and Community Services Commission Liaison
Staff Present: McPherson, Dublin Police Officer Blaylock

3.1 Public Comments – None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4.1 Minutes of the October 25, 2017 Regular Meeting
On a motion by CM Mitr, seconded by CM Brakeman, and by a vote of 14-0-0, with Committee
Members Nuruddin and Tran absent, the Youth Advisory Committee voted to approve the
minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 25, 2017, as presented.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS – None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Youth Advisory Committee Mini Grant Program Application Review and
Selection
Recreation Supervisor, Lisa McPherson, presented the Staff Report. The Youth Advisory
Committee reviewed and rated the Youth Advisory Committee Mini Grant applications. The
Youth Advisory Committee voted to invite all eight applicants to attend the December 6, 2017
Special Meeting, to present their applications before the Advisory Committee.
ACTION
On a motion by CM Lui, seconded by CM Kolan, and by a vote of 10-0-3, with Committee
Members Goel, Sharma and Matheny abstained due to not selecting Aisles Pro; and Committee
Members Nuruddin and Tran absent; the Youth Advisory Committee voted to invite Aisles Pro,
Dublin High Field Hockey Club, Dublin High Future Business Leaders of America, Dublin High
Key Club, Dublin High One Globe Club, Dublin High Plushies Aimed to Comfort Hearts

(P.A.T.C.H) Club, Dublin High Teens Unite For Education, and Quarry Lane’s Environmental
Club to present at the Youth Advisory Committee Mini Grant presentation meeting to be held on
December 6, 2017. Advisory Committee Member Peram was not present at the time of the vote.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Advisory Committee Members provided brief informational reports on upcoming events.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM.
