3.1 Public Comments
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Commissions on non-agendized items. The Commissions must,
however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the posted agenda. The Commissions may
respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning
the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Office of the Parks and Community Services Department
related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Commission agenda. The exceptions under which the
Commissions MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in GC
54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).

8. NEW BUSINESS
8.1 Public Art Recommendation for the Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex
The Commissions shall receive a report on the Public Art Selection Committee's selection for the public art
at Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex for recommendation to the City Council.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 1) Recommend Todji Kurtzman to the City Council for the design,fabrication
and installation of the public artwork at the Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex, and 2)
Recommend the following artists be retained in a pre-approved pool for consideration of public art
projects proposed in the 2014-2019 Capital Improvement Program: Troy Corliss; Benjamin Ball and
Gaston Nogues; Blessing Hancock;Todji Kurtzman; Heath Satow; Christopher Weed; and Susan
Zoccola.
8.2 Five-Year Capital Improvement Program,2014-2019
The Commissions shall receive a report on the Draft 2014-2019 Capital Improvement Program.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 1) Receive public comments, and 2) Confirm project priorities as proposed
by Staff or determine alternate priorities for recommendation to the City Council.
9. OTHER BUSINESS
9.1 Brief Informational Only Reports from Commissioners and/or Staff and Reports by Commission related
to Meetings Attended at City Expense(AB 1234).
10. ADJOURNMENT

is available in the Parks&Community Services Department at Civic Center.
