January 25, 2018 Minutes 4.1 Packet Pg. 3 HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION MINUTES Thursday, January 25, 2018 Human Services Commission January 25, 2018 Regular Meeting Page | 1 A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Human Services Commission was held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, in the Human Services Commission Council Chamber. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM., by Commission Chair Brown. 1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance – The pledge of allegiance was recited by the Commission and Staff. Ms. Smith introduced Suzanne Iarla, Management Analyst; Walfred Solorzano, Deputy City Clerk; and Darla Murtaugh, Senior Office Assistant, as the new Human Services Commission staff. 2. Oral Communications 2.1. Public Comment No public comments were made. 3. Consent Calendar 3.1. Approved the May 25 and October 25, 2017 meeting minutes. Election of Officers On motion of Commission Chair Brown, seconded by Commissioner Rudy, and by unanimous vote (Commissioners Fiedler and Hassan being absent), the Commission elected Commissioner Songey as the 2018 Commission Chair. On motion of Commission Chair Songey, seconded by Commissioner Brown, and by unanimous vote (Commissioners Fiedler and Hassan being absent), the Commission elected Commissioner Fiedler as the 2018 Commission Vice Chair. 6.2. Human Services Grants Program and Process Overview Suzanne Iarla, Management Analyst II, made a presentation a nd responded to questions posed by the Commission. The Human Services Commission received the report. 6.3. Fiscal Year 2016-17 Human Services Grant Program: Grant Recipient Year- End Reports Suzanne Iarla, Management Analyst II, made a presentation and r esponded to questions posed by the Commission. The Human Services Commission received the report. 7. Other Business – Brief information only reports from City Council and/or Staff, including committee reports and reports by City Council related to meetings attended at City expense (AB1234). 8.
