EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Senior Center Advisory Committee will receive a report on classes and activities
being offered at the Dublin Senior Center.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive the report.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DESCRIPTION:
The Dublin Senior Center Staff coordinates several ongoing classes and activities
taught or led by volunteers or contract instructors. New classes, activities, and special
events are planned and implemented each quarter to offer new oppo rtunities to a
diverse senior population. Since 2005, the Dublin Senior Center’s overall vision has
been “to sustain a warm, welcoming, and accessible recreation facility that fulfills the
social, educational, and creative needs of those 50 years and older , and supports
independent, healthy lifestyles.”
The mission of the City of Dublin Senior Center is “to maintain a first rate community
facility that promotes and supports a high quality of life for those 50 years and older.”
In the Dublin Senior Center Newsletter - the Dublin Doings, each class and activity can
be found under a variety of categories. The word “new” is placed next to all new
classes listed in the newsletter to showcase new opportunities to experience.
