A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2018-19 HUMAN SERVICES GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City received 19 applications for the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Human Services Grant
Program; and
WHEREAS, funding sources for the Human Services Grants Program include the federally-
funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and the City of Dublin General Fund and
Affordable Housing Fund; and
WHEREAS, the funding requests exceeded funding availability; and
WHEREAS, on March 22, 2018, the Human Services Commission recommended 18
projects/programs receive grant funding through the Human Services Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the Human Services Commission has provided the City Council with Fiscal Year
2018-19 Human Services Grant Program funding recommendations; and
WHEREAS, Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, reflects the Fiscal
Year 2018-19 Human Services Grant Program funding recommendations for the City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, the action taken by this Resolution shall approve the funding recommendations of
all funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
take the following actions:
1. Approve the Human Services Grant fund allocations, as recommended by the Human Services
Commission, for Fiscal Year 2018-19, as outlined in Exhibit A;
2. Direct Staff to work with the County of Alameda as required on the CDBG funding allocations by
reallocating funds as needed based on the confirmed CDBG funding guidelines and funding
level; and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with the County of Alameda for use of CDBG
funds and the funding agreements with each grant recipient effective July 1, 2018, and take such
further actions as may be necessary or appropriate to carry out the City Council's obligations
pursuant to this Resolution.
