A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER WITH O'GRADY PAVING
INC. FOR EMERGENCY REPAIR WORK
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on June 21, 2016, award the Contract for Project No.
ST5016, Tassajara Road Improvements, to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, to wit,
O'Grady Paving, Inc., at a bid of One Million, Eight Hundred and Twenty Two Thousand, Eight
Hundred and Ninety Dollars and sixty-five Cents ($1,822,890.65); and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director, has determined that the condition of the existing
pavement at the Alameda County Fire Maintenance Facility is creating a hazard to both
equipment and staff working at the facility and is in need of immediate repair; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the remaining balance from the construction of the Alameda
County Fire Maintenance Facility Project will be utilized to complete contract change order
emergency repair work; and
WHEREAS, the additional work does not increase the total contract amount with O'Grady
Paving, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin hereby
authorizes the emergency repairs to Alameda County Fire Maintenance Facility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute a Contract Change Order with O'Grady Paving Inc. to
make these emergency repairs.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 2016, by the following
vote:
