1985 Goals & Objectives
1. Adopt 1985 Goals and Objectives.
2. Direct staff to develop plans to
implement.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: On Monday, March 4, 1985 the Dublin City
Council held a special study session for discussion of a
status report on the 1984 Goals and Objectives and the
establishment of the 1985 Goals and Objectives. The format
of the meeting was as follows:
1. Brief review of 1984 Goals and Objectives.
2. Staff review of Goals and Objectives within each
program area.
3. Provide opportunity to members of the public to
comment on additional items they would like
considered within each program area.
4. Council deliberation and prioitization on each
program area.
Attached you will find a copy of the 1985 Goals and
Objectives for the Recreation Department as approved and
prioritized by the City Council.

RECREATION DEPARTMENT
1985 Goals And Objectives
1. Work with DSRSD to determine future disposition of parks and
park responsibilities within the City of Dublin.
2. Kolb Park acquisition and development
3. Develop plans for enhancement of Shannon Park and Community
Center.
4. Investigate feasibility of accepting 90 acres of the
Dougherty Hills as open space.
5. Develop Teen Program.
6. Undertake senior needs assessment.
7. Develop plans for enhancement of existing parks and new
parks
8. Develop Joint Use Agreement with School Districts for use of
recreation facilities.
9. Plan and conduct unstructured After School Recreation
Playground Program.
10. Increase class offerings by 25% over 1984 and conduct 85% of
all classes offered.
11. Hold six special events during the year.
12. Sponsor one public service program each quarter.
13. Review need for revision of Rental Policy at Shannon
Community Center.
14. Increase utilization of Shannon Community Center by 15% of
1984.
15. Install identification sign at Shannon Community Center.
