The Advisory Committee Members discussed the differences between Pleasanton Senior Center and San
Ramon's Alcosta Senior and Community Center, in order to compare them with the Dublin Senior
Center.
The Committee Members noted that Pleasanton Senior Center stated they had an average daily lunch
attendance of 40-60. It was mentioned that Pleasanton used a drop in format versus the pre-
registration format used at the Dublin Senior Center. Staff will discuss the possibility of changing to a
drop in format with Open Heart Kitchen.
The Committee Members asked Staff to arrange a future meeting to coincide with their having lunch at
the Shamrock Cafe so they can to better evaluate the Open Heart meals.
It was suggested Staff arrange a visit to Pleasanton and San Ramon Senior Centers annually or every two
years. A further suggestion was made to possibly add visits to Livermore and Hayward/Castro Valley
Senior Centers.
CM Ito asked about a transportation program in Dublin, and suggested that informational flyer about
transportation options be developed.
