HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 130-15 Irrigation Systems Upgrade RESOLUTION NO. 130 - 15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN * * * * * * * * * * * ACCEPTANCE OF WORK CONTRACT NO. 14-16 IRRIGATION SYSTEM UPGRADES WHEREAS, on March 3, 2015, the City of Dublin entered into a contract with Poms Landscaping, Incorporated to complete the installation of radio communication and irrigation equipment for street medians in accordance with plans and specifications on file with the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, said improvements have been completed in accordance with said plans and specifications, and any approved modifications thereof, to the satisfaction of said City Engineer of the City of Dublin; and WHEREAS, as a condition of said contract, Poms Landscaping Incorporated is required to guarantee the improvements for a period of one year following acceptance of the work by the City of Dublin; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby accept the improvements, subject to the aforesaid one-year warranty, and authorize staff to file a Notice of Completion with Alameda County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby authorize staff to release the retention, if after 35-days of filing the Notice of Completion there are no subcontractor claims. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby authorize staff to release the performance bond upon acceptance by staff of the maintenance bond in the amount of $10,216, as security for the one-year warranty period.
