YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES OF Wednesday, October 23, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The October 23, 2013 meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:02 PM at the
Shannon Community Center by Chairperson Kush Rastogi.

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING- September 25, 2013

NEW BUSINESS
Youth Mini Grant Program Update
Staff Member Luna provided an update on the progress of the Youth Mini Grant Program. Mr. Luna
stated that no applications have been submitted as of October 23, 2013. The deadline to submit
applications is November 22, 2013 at 5 PM. Mr. Luna handed out Youth Mini Grant applications to
Youth Advisory Committee Members to give to the various youth clubs on their specific school
campuses.
Dublin Tree Lighting Ceremony
Staff Member Luna provided information on the City of Dublin 'free Lighting event which is scheduled at
the Dublin Civic Center on December 5, 2013. Every year at this annual event Youth Advisory
Committee Members are asked to volunteer and assist with set-up, clean-up and other duties to ensure the
event is successful. Mr. Luna provided a sign-up sheet for interested Committee Members to volunteer
from 6:15 PM to 9:15 PM the evening of the event.
OTHER BUSINESS—
CM Wang stated that the Dublin High Leadership class is still interested in offering a Winter Ball Dance
in collaboration with the Dublin Youth Advisory Committee. Mr. Luna stated if Dublin Iligh School
sponsored the event, the Youtl _dvisory Committee would be interes, in assisting. CM Wang staled
that if the Leadership class found a way to offer this event on the Dublin High campus, would the Youth
Advisory Committee assist in the planning of the event. The Youth Advisory Committee Members stated
that they would not hesitate to help with the preparation of a Winter Ball dance if offered at Dublin High
School. CM Wang stated she would provide on update regarding this event at the next scheduled Youth
Advisory Committee meeting.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:37 PM by Vice Chairperson Rastogi.
